Everything You Need to Know About USMLE
Step 1
Assesses understanding of basic sciences relevant to medical practice. Multiple-choice questions covering anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, and microbiology.
Step 2 CK (Clinical Knowledge)
Tests clinical knowledge through multiple-choice questions on internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, psychiatry, and preventive medicine.
Step 2 CS (Clinical Skills)
Assesses clinical skills using standardized patients. Tests communication, data gathering, and documentation skills. Currently suspended but may be reinstated.
Step 3
Final examination assessing ability to practice medicine independently. Focuses on patient management in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
