Admission Process

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Requirements for MBBS in India 2026-27

Criteria Requirements
Academic Qualification 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized board. Minimum 50% marks in PCB for General category (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for General-PH).
NEET Qualification NEET-UG qualification is mandatory. General category needs 50th percentile, SC/ST/OBC needs 40th percentile, and UR-PH needs 45th percentile.
Age Requirement Candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year. Upper age limit is 25 years (relaxed by 5 years for reserved categories).
Domicile Requirements For state quota seats, domicile of that state is required. All India Quota seats are open to candidates from all states based on NEET rank.
Medical Fitness Candidates must be medically fit as per the standards prescribed by the Medical Council of India.

* Students must ensure they have all original documents including 10th & 12th mark sheets, NEET scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), and domicile certificate for state counseling.

Yes, NEET-UG is mandatory for all medical admissions in India, including government, private, and deemed universities. There is no alternative entrance exam for MBBS in India.

General category needs 50th percentile (approx. 600-650 marks). SC/ST/OBC need 40th percentile. However, cutoffs vary by state, college, and category. Top AIIMS and MAMC require 650+ marks for general category.

Government colleges: ₹10,000 - ₹1,00,000 per year. Private colleges: ₹5-25 lakhs per year. Deemed universities: ₹10-35 lakhs per year. Total course fees vary significantly based on college type and location.
